Mini Stock - 4 Cylinder Rules 2008

The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the condition of all events and by participating in these events all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATIONS OF OR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND/OR REGULATIONS. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator, or official.

The race director shall be empowered to permit reasonable and appropriate deviation from any of the specifications herein or impose any further restrictions that in his opinion do not alter the minimum acceptable requirements. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM SUCH ALTERATION OF SPECIFICATIONS. Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is left to the discretion of the officials. Their decision is final.

No Front Wheel Drives

Front wheel drives will run with the Factory Stock Class.

Safety Regulations

1. All cars must have a working fire extinguisher mounted securely within the drivers reach.

2. All cars must have a minimum of 3 (Three) 1/4 rods in front of the driver. NO CONCRETE REINFORCEMENT STEEL.

3. All cars must have a window net over the drivers window.

4. Drive shafts must be painted white and have a 360 deg. loop around them.

5.All weight must be painted white with the car # on them.

6.Drivers must wear full fire suites including gloves and shoes.

7.Drivers must wear a full face helmet with at least a SNELL rating of 95.

Building Rules:

Anything that is not covered below must remain stock.

1. Wheel well may be enlarged to clear tires.
2. Doors may be gutted to add door bars. Must have 4 driver side bars & 3 passenger side bars.
3. FULL STOCK floor pan back past the rear end.
4. FULL STOCK fire wall in stock location.








5. ALL body panels must be stock. My be replaced with sheet metal. Steel or aluminum.
6. Nose can be plastic or aluminum.
7. NO bars outside the body.
8. NO wings of any kind.
9. NO spoilers allowed, unless they came out stock on the car.
10. NO changing of the frame from 0" in front of the A frame to back of the rear spring.
11. You MUST have a shield to COMPLETELY separate the driver from the radiator.
12. CARBURETORS: 4412 Holley 2 barrel or stock factory carbs. 2-barrel only. Bottom of carburetor can be no larger than 1 11/16" diameter. Must be stock Ventura 1 3/8". Gas tank MUST be in a steel container in the trunk of the car. (Fuel cell recommended.) Pump gas or racing fuel only. No alcohol.
13. Battery MUST be in the rear of the car separated from the driver and COMPLETELY SECURED.
14. Door must be welded or bolted shut.
15. MOTOR - NO TURBOs. 4 cylinder only. Stock blocks and stock heads. No aluminum heads. No stroked or destroyed short blocks allowed. Stock crankshafts only. FORD TO FORD, CHEVY TO CHEVY AND SO ON. Stock intake, any pulleys allowed. Motor must be in stock location--no moving it back. Factory stock fuel injection (as it came from the automobile's manufacturer) allowed. Head may be shaved. No 4 wheel drives or engines in the rear. Distributors must be stock. No aftermarket allowed. Camshaft--any hydraulic or solid lift cams allowed.
16. TRANSMISSIONS - Factory stock automatic or standard. Stock factory torque converters. NO triple disk or mini clutches.
17. HEADERS--any header is allowed.
18. Wheelbase must be factory stock.
19. TIRES - NO tires larger than 205-70-15 street tires. IMCA tires allowed - grooving OK.---
NO BEAD LOCK WHEELS.---1 INCH LUG NUTS MANDATORY.
20. SPRINGS - Spring may be aftermarket. No wedge bolts or spring adjusters allowed.
21. SHOCKS - Must be stock. NO racing shocks. Must mount in stock position.
22. MUST HAVE RACING SEAT & SEAT BELTS. Seat & belts must be fastened to roll cage.
23. It costs $125.00 for an engine or drive train protest.
24. WEIGHT--ALL CARS MUST WEIGH 2300 LBS
25. Drive shaft must be painted white. Must have drive shaft loop.
26. Stock front ends and stock swing arms must be factory stock only.
27. Brakes may have 3 or 4 working brakes--No adjustable proportioning valves allowed.
28. Fuel pumps may be stock or electric. If you have an electric pump you must have a oil pressure shut-off switch.
29. Rear-end must be stock OEM type rear-end. Locked rear-end are allowed.
